就弹簧而言,金属保护通常是通过电镀来实现的。电镀保护不仅能防止腐蚀,还能改善弹簧的外观。有些电镀金属还可以改善弹簧的性能,如提高表面硬度,增加耐磨性,提高热稳定性,防止辐射腐蚀等。但如果仅对弹簧进行腐蚀,一般应选择镀锌层和电镀镉层。镀镍弹簧锌在干燥空气中比较稳定,几乎没有变化,不易变色。在潮湿的空气中,会形成一层氧化锌或碳化锌的白色薄膜。这种致密的薄膜可以防止进一步的腐蚀。因此,在一般的大气条件下,锌涂层用于弹簧防腐。凡与硫酸、盐酸、烧碱等溶液接触,并在空气中工作的三氧化二硫等潮湿空气中工作的泉水,都不适合镀锌。镀锌弹簧的钝化通常在镀锌层电镀后进行。钝化可以改善涂层的保护性能,增加表面的外观。

Passivation of galvanized spring is usually carried out after galvanizing. Passivation can improve the protective performance of the coating and increase the appearance of the surface.
